As is well known, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared COVID-19 as a pandemic and the Indonesian government is taking steps to reduce the chance of spreading the virus by implementing physical distancing. The limitation of social interaction is carried out by issuing a policy of learning, working, and worshiping at home. Since March 16, 2020, following the government's call, PT PFI Mega Life Insurance has begun implementing Work From Home (WFH) policies for its employees.

This shows something different from usual, one of which is an activity that is routinely held every 3 months, the Town Hall Meeting. Entering Quarter 2 (Q2) in 2020 this is done virtually. The event, which was held on June 4, 2020, was attended by approximately 200 Mega Life PFI employees throughout Indonesia. The aim was to evaluate what the company had done in the previous Quarter 1 (Q1) and business priorities in the following quarter.

The enthusiasm of the employees was very visible, because a few days before the Town Hall event was held, the management held a competition namely uploading photos through Instagram about employee activities during Work From Home (WFH) such as cooking, gardening, sports which correlated with the company's core values namely Winning with Integrity, Collaboration, Mutual Trust and Customer Focus are then written hashtags: # PMLTownHallQ2 #PFIMegaLife #WeProtectDreams. The best three will be announced at the Town Hall event as winners and get shopping vouchers worth hundreds of thousands of rupiah.

When the Town Hall event takes place, employees are also required to use a virtual background that has been provided by the committee so that the background of each participant is uniform. And management also has prepared shopping vouchers for three participants who used interesting attributes during the Town Hall event.

At the Town Hall Meeting, management also provided information on employee preparation for entering the "New Normal" period, especially when returning to the office in stages after a few months of WFH while continuing to perform health protocol standards.

Since the enactment of the rules of working at home, the company has made several efforts to ensure that employees can maintain their health and productivity in difficult times like this. The company regularly monitors through virtual check points in each division regarding employee health conditions, and reports directly to the management team. We also cease providing information to employees in the form of education related to COVID-19, as well as tips for maintaining productivity while working at home, and ways to maintain physical and mental health

PFI Mega Life continues to ensure that operational business can continue to run so that it does not interfere with service to Customers and Business Partners. A number of actions have been taken by the company in dealing with the COVID-19 crisis, such as maintaining interactive communication between its employees by conducting regular online meetings to provide reports to each other and the progress of their work to ensure that operational business can continue to run so as not to disrupt service to customers and Business partner.

Management also said that PFI Mega Life's top priority is to create safety and well-being for its Customers, Employees, and Business Partners

Broadly speaking, they evaluate what the company has done in Quarter 1 (Q1) and company planning, both the company's sales and service strategy and the planned planning for the future. (6/5/2020)
