Jakarta, 10 May 2023, PFI Mega Life in collaboration with Bank Mega and Schroders Indonesia held a customer gathering with the theme "Indonesia, The Better Part of The World". Attended by more than 78 Mega First segment customers from Bank Mega regional Jakarta, this customer gathering was also attended by Mr. Samdarshi Sumit as President Director of PFI Mega Life, Mr. Octavianus Ariwan as Distribution Director of PFI Mega Life, Mrs. Haposan Manurung as Bancassurance Sales Head of Bank Mega, and also Mr. Michael T. Tjoajadi as President Director of Schroders Indonesia.
The event opened with a warm welcome from Mrs. Diza Larentie, followed by a brief presentation by Mr. Samdarshi Sumit on the history, development and financial performance of Prudential Financial Inc. After that, the event continued with the main event, a talk show hosted by Mr. Haposan Manurung and Mr. Michael Tjoajadi and Mr. Octavianus Ariwan as speakers. This interesting talk show with a duration of 60 minutes begins with Mr. Michael Tjoajadi, discussing world political turmoil that has affected the defense sector of the economy of almost all countries, both of which have direct or indirect involvement in the conflict. Several events that occurred in the last three years have become a major challenge for the global economy. Starting from geopolitical tensions, the presence of a pandemic, to supply chain disruptions which in turn have caused global inflationary pressure to become more persistent.
Indonesia emerged as one of the countries that has the ability to survive in global economic uncertainty. One of the good things that the Indonesian government has implemented is not raising interest rates as aggressively as what happened in Europe. Indonesia also provides subsidies to maintain purchasing power and interest rates on a number of problems they face, one of which is the problem of scarcity of cooking oil.
